How to Configure Outlook Express for Internet Mail

1. Double-Click Outlook Express icon on your desktop
   
   
   
   
   
2. If prompted to choose a setup option, select "I already have an Internet connection set up on this computer and I do not want to change it".
   
   
   
   
   
3. Click the Next button.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click the Finish button.
   
   
5. If prompted to select a folder for your messages, accept the default location or choose another location.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Outlook Express will load and in the left frame, select Outlook Express.
   
   
   
   
   
7. Click Read Mail.
   
   
   
   
   
8. In the Display name text box, type your name.
   
   
   
   
   
9. Click the Next button.
   
   
10. In the E-Mail address text box, type your email address.
    
    
    
    
    
11. Click the Next button
    
    
12. In the drop-down list box, select POP3.
    
    
13. In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server text box, type:
    mail.effingham.net
    
    
14. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box, type:
    mail.effingham.net
    
    
    
    
    
15. Click the Next button.
    
    
16. In the POP account name text box, type your username.
    
    
17. In the Password text box, type your password.
    
    
    
    
    
18. Click the Next button.
    
    
19. In the Internet mail account name text box, type PDC Internet or Your Name
    
    
    
    
    
20. Click the Next button.
    
    
21. Select Connect using my phone line.
    
    
    
    
    
22. Click the Next button.
    
    
23. Select Use an existing dial-up connection.
    
    
24. Select PDC Internet or the connection you use to connect to us.
    
    
    
    
    
25. Click the Next button.
    
    
    
    
    
26. Click the Finish button.
