How to manually setup Dial-Up Networking for PDC Internet

*You may need your Windows 95 CD-ROM or Diskettes to complete this operation.

1. Double-click the My Computer icon.
   
   
2. Double-click the Dial-Up Networking folder.
   
   
3. Double-click the Make New Connection icon.
   
   
4. Under Type a name for the computer you are dialing, type PDC Internet
   
   
   
   
   
5. Click the Configure button.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Select the appropriate port speed for your modem. For 14.4 modems use 19200, for 28.8 modems use 38400 and for 56k use 57600.
   
   
7. Make sure that Only connect at this speed is not checked.
   
   
8. Click the OK button.
   

   
   

9.  Click the Next button.
   
   
   
   

10. Select your Area Code and type in your local access phone number
    
    
11. Click Next button
    
    
    
    
    
12. Click the Finish button.
    
    
    
    
    
13. Click the PDC Internet icon.
    
    
14. From the File menu bar, choose Properties.
    

    
    

15. Click the Server Type button.
    

    
    

16. Uncheck Log on to network.
    
    
17. Uncheck NetBEUI.
    
    
18. Uncheck IPX/SPX Compatible.
    
    
19. Click the TCP/IP Settings button.
    

    
    

20. Verify that your settings match the settings above.
    
    
21. Click OK.
    
    
22. Click Ok.
    
    
23. Click Ok again.
